Get back

About to go on a plane trip? Maybe it's finally time for your long-awaited dream vacation? You've got everything you need and are just waiting to pack? That’s great.

In that case, there's still one very important thing left to do!

Airlines can sometimes surprise you. And we’re not talking about flight delays—which no one likes. What might catch you off guard is a change in carry-on baggage regulations. And that kind of surprise isn’t pleasant, especially since excess or oversized luggage comes with an extra charge.

That’s why, if you're going on a plane trip, make sure to read the rest of this article.

Ryanair Carry-On Baggage 2025

Each passenger flying with Ryanair is allowed to bring one small personal bag on board, with maximum dimensions of 40 cm x 20 cm x 25 cm. This is because it must fit under the seat in front of you. Of course, no one is likely to notice a few centimeters over the limit, so there's no need to throw away your bag or backpack if it's slightly larger. If your baggage is checked, there’s no need to worry with our bag or backpack — the key is being able to squeeze it into the measuring stand — you’ll be fine!

In the Non-Priority option — which you could call the basic option — if you try to board with a larger carry-on, you'll need to pay an additional fee.

However, with the “Priority & 2 Cabin Bags” option, you can take a carry-on bag weighing up to 10 kg and with maximum dimensions of 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm, which goes into the overhead compartment, plus a small personal item.

If you purchase a 10 kg checked bag, you may only bring a small personal bag on board, while the larger bag (10 kg) must be checked in. Your suitcase will then greet you later at the baggage carousel at your destination.

Admittedly, it can get a bit confusing, which is why we’ve gathered below a selection of Zagatto products that meet these size requirements.

Zagatto Products You Can Bring On Board as a Personal Bag

You’ve got plenty of options to choose from. You can take a small backpack, a waist bag, or a messenger bag. It can also be a travel bag, although in this case the width may be slightly larger. However, these are really minor differences that no one should notice — especially with soft bags whose final size depends on how full they are. Simply put: don’t overstuff your bag and you’ll be fine. Our sports backpack is also a great choice for onboard use.
